That Hong Kong taxi is as irrelevant to a walker like me as the dear bars and dancing girls of Wan Chai.
No idea how many times I’ve been to Hong Kong now.
It doesn’t matter.
It’s not too often and it’s never for very long.
But it’s an escape every time.
Walking up and down Nathan Road.
From the digs in Mongkok to the waterfront at Tsim Sha Tsui.
Checking in on the Kowloon Park flamingos.
Getting Indian food from Chungking Mansions.
Looking out over Victoria Harbour.
Wondering where the time went since I was last there.
And why I still can’t afford dear bars and dancing girls.
I don’t need the taxi though.
I like walking.
